International Mother Language Day Celebrated at Green Land Convent School

: Green Land Convent School, Dugri, observed International Mother Language Day with great enthusiasm and cultural pride. The celebration aimed to promote linguistic diversity and create awareness about the importance of preserving and respecting our mother tongues.

Students of Classes IV to VIII actively participated in Poem Recitation and Storytelling activities in their respective mother languages. They confidently expressed their thoughts and emotions, reflecting deep love and respect for their native languages. The celebration beautifully showcased the richness of India’s cultural and linguistic heritage.

On this occasion, the President of the Chain of Green Land Schools, Dr. Shabad Rudhra, and the Director, Mrs. Baldeep Pandher, appreciated the sincere efforts of the students and teachers. They emphasized that language is the soul of culture and plays a vital role in shaping one’s identity. They encouraged students to cherish and preserve their mother tongue while also learning other languages to broaden their horizons.

The Principal, Mrs. Aruna Kapil, highlighted that respecting one’s mother language strengthens cultural roots and builds self-confidence. She motivated the students to take pride in their linguistic heritage and contribute towards preserving it.

The programme concluded on an inspiring note, reinforcing the message of unity in diversity and respect for all languages.
